Fall Orientation

Student Orientation Staffer Terrance WithersGet ready, get set, succeed!

Hello new St. Catharine College students!

You've started off on the right foot with the STAR Summer Transition, Advising, and Registration program!  Now it's time to experience part 2 of the St. Catharine College orientation program for new students--Fall Orientation.

You are registered for fall semester courses and you've been given basic information about SCC--but that's not all you need to get set for success in college.

Fall Orientation will ease your transition into college by giving you the opportunity to:

  • Get to know the college and our faculty, staff, and students on a more in-depth level just prior to beginning classes
  • Increase your comfort level in your new home
  • Learn the keys to succeed in the college classroom
  • Have fun & meet new friends.

This program is required for new students at St. Catharine College--residents, commuters, transfers, and adult students.   Fall Orientation includes informational sessions, library orientation, important tech instructions, your first Freshman Read book group, the Freshman Induction Ceremony, social events, service opportunities, meals, and more!  Student Orientation Staff (SOSers) will be there to guide you through and make sure you have a great experience.

Dates:    August 11-14, 2011  (Thursday-Sunday)

Mandatory Events:    Friday, August 12     8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Fall Orientation brochures will be mailed to the home addresses of new students in early August.

The brochure may also be downloaded below or viewed by clicking on the icon.

Several events require reservations by August 8. Click here to go to the RSVP form for Fall Orientation.
