Student Organizations

Students have the opportunity to participate in and develop leadership skills through involvement in a number of campus organizations and interest groups. Students wishing to form a new club or interest group may submit a proposal for approval and possible funding through the Dean of Students.

Art Club

Students interested in art should contact Bettye Brookfield for information on the Art Club--student art projects, student showings, gallery visits, etc.


Campus Ministry

St. Catharine College Campus Ministry Program strives to enhance the academic program. In the Dominican tradition St. Catharine College is committed to the pursuit of truth. The campus ministry program provides students with opportunities to grow spiritually, academically, culturally and to develop a sense of responsibility for themselves and a just society. Contact Sr. Grace Simms for more information.

Criminal Justice Club

Education Club--KEA-SP

A preprofessional organization for students preparing for careers in education, KEA-SP is affiliated with the Kentucky Education Association.  Contact Dr. Kathleen Filkins for more information.

 

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Health Occupations Students of America

Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is a national organization endorsed by the the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Technology Education Division of ACTE. HOSA's two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA's goal is to encourage all health occupations instructors and students to join and be actively involved in the HSTE-HOSA Partnership. Contact Charlie Johnston, advisor for more information.

Phi Theta Kappa

Student Ambassadors

The Student Ambassador Program is a student organization affiliated with the Admissions Office through which student leaders participate in campus orientation days and tours, community events, campus student and alumni events, and other special activities.  Contact Ashley Carey for more information.


Student Government

The Student Senate acts as the official representative of the student body in College affairs. The Senate works to promote a spirit of unity and cooperation throughout the college community. The student government appoints student members to several College standing committees, and the President of the Student Senate serves as a voting member of the College Board of Trustees. Contact Student Senate President, John Graves, or Dr. Vicki Guthrie, Dean of Students, for more information.
