Saint Catharine College

Campus Signage

It is the policy of St. Catharine College to ensure that all signage and graphics adhere to design standards, creating uniformity in appearance.

Permanent Informational Signage

Informational signage includes parking lot signs, "no smoking" signs, etc. All campus signage must be approved by the Marketing & Communications Committee. The College name and logo should be noted, but in a diminutive form since the intent of the sign is informational rather than promotional. The letters should be in Optima Bold in Purple (PMS 520) with a White background. Handicapped and reserved sign use are to be approved by the Office of Campus Safety.

Interior Promotional Signage

The Marketing & Communications Committee manages campuswide interior display signage and approval.

Please contact marketingandcommunicationscommittee@sccky.edu for specific information on event and notification display. Some departments – and many faculty members – oversee specific bulletin boards. Extraneous materials should not be posted on these boards without approval. No permanent or temporary sign or graphic is to be installed in public areas of the College without prior approval of the Marketing & Communications Committee. The only exception is in the case of College closings or safety/emergencies when the Office of Campus Safety may post warning notices on exterior doors.

All signage and graphics installed without appropriate approval are subject to removal or modification.
