All first year students are encouraged to participate in orientation activities, both during registration days and as the academic year opens. College, community, and student leaders participate in these activities so the students can make friends, ease the transition to college, and lay the foundations for success.
Welcome New Students!
Congratulations on your admission to St. Catharine College! We are pleased that you have chosen St. Catharine and are looking forward to helping you get your college experience started on the right foot. Our STAR Orientation program will do that! Invitations to STAR Orientation are in the works and will be mailed soon.
The STAR program is a two-part orientation process designed to facililtate a smooth transition to St. Catharine College. The first part takes place in the summer and focuses on providing the students with the tools that will enable them to confidently begin their college career.
Summer orientation consists three one-day sessions and one overnight session from which students may choose. Each one-day session begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 5:00 PM. Our overnight HI-DEF session is an overnight experience including a stay in our residence halls for new students (hotel information will be made available for family members). Availability to the HI-DEF session is limited, so students need to act quickly and make their reservation once they receive their STAR orientation invitation.
The second part of the STAR program, our fall orientation session, takes place during August 14-17, 2008. This session is designed to give students the opportunity to meet St. Catharine College's faculty, staff, and students on a more in-depth level prior to beginning classes, enabling students to develop a comfort with the college environment. Detailed information concerning the fall session will soon follow.

Returning Students
Registration for returning students for the Summer and Fall 2008 semesters begin April 14, 2008. Schedules are now available.
Returning students MUST meet with an advisor. Appointments should be made as early as possible so that students can register before classes are filled.
