STAR Orientation/Registration
What is STAR?

Orientation is a fun filled program that is fast paced and interesting. |
It provides new freshman with the opportunity to meet fellow students, advisors, professors, and key college representatives. |
| Students meet with advisors, schedule classes for the upcoming semester, and become familiar with the SCC family. | It provides information about opportunities for student involvement -- such as clubs, organizations, Student Senate, Campus Ministry, Residence Life, Ambassadors and many others. |

Parents and other supportive adults benefit from the sessions as well! Important information about the college experience along with the Presidential tour are just a few examples. |

What to expect --
- You will check-in early in the morning, have sessions until lunch time, enjoy lunch in our Dining Center, and finish the afternoon with advising and registration. You will move around the campus in and out of air-conditioned spaces, so dress comfortably and wear your walking shoes!
What you will need --
- to be officially accepted to SCC
- you must RSVP by the deadline for the date you would like to attend
- submit Official transcripts from graduating high school or GED with scores to the Office of Admissions prior to RSVPing for a STAR date.
- submit ACT or COMPASS scores must be submitted to the Admissions Office PRIOR to the selected STAR date
- Driver's license
- STAR Orientation fee:
**All freshmen are required to attend a STAR session, as well as stay ALL day for the orientation to register for their classes. Each session will be conducted from 9:00 am- 5:00 pm. (check-in will begin at 8:30).

| Saturday, June 16th | Must RSVP by June 8th |
| Thursday, June 28th | Must RSVP by June 22nd |
| Friday, July 20th | Must RSVP by July 13th |
| Thursday, August 2nd | Must RSVP by July 27th |
** All students must meet the requirements and submit their RSVP by the deadline date. If all processes are not followed then those students will NOT be able to register for classes. Ask an Admissions Counselor if you have any questions.**
