Study Abroad
Expand Your World Through International StudyImagine spending the summer studying and working in childcare in Germany, walking in the steps of St. Dominic in southern France or exploring international relations in Israel. Recently, students from St. Catharine College have earned college credit through all these experiences abroad. Whatever your vision for an international educational experience, chances are there’s a way to make it a reality at St. Catharine.
As a member of the Kentucky Institute for International Studies (KIIS), http://www.kiis.org St. Catharine is able to offer students a wide range of exciting international study options. There are also opportunities to study our world’s vast oceans on voyages available through Semester at Sea® http://www.semesteratsea.org. The sky is truly the limit.
Most students who are interested in studying abroad plan their international experience for their junior year in college. If this is something you might like to do, we encourage you to talk to the Study Abroad office and your advisor during your sophomore year. Acting early (approximately a year before you travel) assures that your graduation schedule won’t be adversely impacted by your international study.
Make the most of your college years by adding Study Abroad to your plans. Learning abroad is an experience you will remember and treasure all your life.

“It was just an awesome experience. There were 35 in our group, including students from India, Spain, Brazil, Puerto Rico and Australia. It was a learning experience in itself to travel with all of these people.”
