We’re preparing the next generation of professional sonographers
The School of Health and Human Sciences prides itself with its regionally known compliment of imaging programs. The Department of Sonography is a part of this, offering three specialty tracks in diagnostic sonography. Our department is somewhat unique in that students are able to enroll without prior completion of another degree. Because students get much lab training before their clinical training starts, employers and graduates surveyed have high satisfaction with the competency level students possess.The department continually works to make sure onsite equipment in the labs is state-of-the-art, keeping student ratios low (6 to 1), and ensuring students’ clinical experiences are the best they can be. Students know they can become well-prepared, knowledgeable sonographers with a program that has been accredited since its inception in 2002.
