The Patriot Challenge is an annual competition for local chapters of Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), sponsored by St. Catharine College and Northwest Area Health Education Center (AHEC). Students from local schools as well as those from Jefferson County come to compete in events promoted by HOSA. The college offers scholarships to those who win at this regional event and more if those same students also place at the state competition.
