Tutoring services is just one of the academic support resources provided by St. Catharine College to help foster students’ academic success. One-on-one assistance and small group support are available to undergraduate students who wish to have supplemental help in mathematics, writing, and many specific subject areas.
Tutors facilitate supportive, interactive learning experiences, empowering students to become independent learners who can then go on to achieve their personal goals. Tutoring is offered free of charge for currently registered St. Catharine students.
- The Tutoring Center , coordinated by Sr. Charlene Vogel, provides supplemental instruction, particularly in mathematics and writing. Students are served on a walk-in basis at the Center located in room B10, Lower Bertrand Hall. Sr. Charlene can be reached via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- The Peer Tutoring Program , coordinated by Mrs. Laura Satterly, Instructor of Foundations English, uses skilled and successful upperclassmen to provide tutoring in a range of course content, utilizing one-on-one peer tutoring or peer-led group tutoring. Peer tutoring is available on an appointment basis by contacting Mrs. Satterly at email@example.com.
